Our 54th Annual Region 2 Regional Meeting was a Success!
The 55th Annual Meeting of PJAS Region 2 will be held on Saturday March 5, 2016 at Wilkes University followed by the Awards Dinner at Genetti’s Best Western.
Student Registration for the Region 2 Regional Competition OPENS on November 1st and CLOSES on February 1st. Registrations will not be accepted after this date.
REGION 2 COMPETITION REGISTRATION & LOGIN
Registered Users (from last year) do NOT need to re-register . ALL Sponsors & Students who were registered last year on the Region 2 website are still registered. 2015 NEW STUDENT & PROJECT

Students who have received First Awards for the Regional Competition are eligible to attend the State Competition. Any Student who will NOT be attending the State Competition must notify their Sponsors immediately (within 10 days) after the Regional Competition.
Students who will be attending the State Competition will need to complete and submit the required forms. Please contact your Sponsor for the current fees to attend the State Competition. However, no student will be denied participation in the competition due to financial reasons. If financial assistance is needed, please contact the Regional Director so accommodations can be made.
Students will be expected to behave in acceptable manner, please review the Student Behavior Code prior to attending States. Students should also review the Preparation for State Competition page and the States Overnight Checklist for additional details.
2016 PJAS State Competition Details Below
Region 2 is proud to announce that we will be the Event Host for the 2106 PJAS State Meeting. As the host, we are responsponsible to provide additional support staff for the event. As such, we need volunteers for various jobs thoughout the event. Please see additional State Meeting & Region 2 Hosting details below.
2016 State Meeting Overview:
- State Competition Dates: May 15, 16, and 17, 2016
- Location: Penn State University (in University Park)
- Deadline for State Form: March 20, 2016 (NO LATER!!)
- Day packages: $85 | Full Packages: $175
REGION 2 HOSTING EVENT
Region 2 will be the Event Host for the 2106 PJAS State Meeting. As the host, Region 2 will act like the "MC” during the meeting. We are responsponsible to provide additional support staff for the event.
We need volunteers for various jobs though out the event.
- EVENT PREP STAFF VOLUNTEERS: 6 - 8 people to go to PSU on Saturday to prepare for Sunday (you will be roomed in Eastview Terrace)
- JUDGING STAFF VOLUNTEERS: People to help in Judging on Monday morning, as well as throughout the day in the tally room
It is important that we set a good example for our Students and provide the support needed to make this event a success. Pleae contact us as sson as possible with the names of volunteers from your school.
REQUIRED & IMPORTANT DOCUMENTATION
We need the “State Form” by March 20, 2016 so we can do housing. All First Award Winners are automatically roomed. See below for a few new things for the state meeting. Read them carefully, particularly if you are staying off campus.
We MUST have the following documents:
- Clearances (34/151/114) on file for all non-school employees (we must have them in our possession this year) - SEE LINKS IN MENU ABOVE (under State Competition)
- Three (3) copies of Medical Forms (with original signatures)
- Signed Student Behavior Code
So be sure to include the Behavior Code and the Non-school Employee Clearances when you submit your Med Forms.

STATE MEETING COSTS
In terms of costs, day packages are $85 and full packages will be $175.00 this year. This cost reflects a $5 increase from last year.
All fees are to be paid before the State Meeting. All fees are non-refundable; if a student decides not to attend the State Meeting the fee is not returned.
Please complete and return the required forms along with the application fee no later than March 20, 2016.
Student Participation Fee
There is a Participation Fee for each student who will be presenting at the State Meeting. however, no student will be denied participation due to financial reasons. If financial assistance is needed, please contact the Regional Director so accommodations can be made.
